Il SAB partecipa attivamente alla strategia macroregionale per le Alpi EUSALP. In EUSALP, i sette Paesi alpini e le 48 regioni alpine promuovono una cooperazione più intensa. EUSALP si basa su tre pilastri: economia, accessibilità e risorse. Questi tre pilastri sono concretizzati da un totale di nove gruppi d’azione. Il SAB, insieme alla Regione Val d’Aosta, ha guidato uno di questi nove gruppi d’azione. Il gruppo d’azione in questione ha affrontato il tema dell’accessibilità e della digitalizzazione dello Spazio Alpino.
